Cougar Town Announces Its Return

Though there may be a lot of Courteney Cox fans out there, it’s hard for any of them to deny that her latest sitcom venture, Cougar Town, is, well, not good.

After three seasons on ABC, the third cut short due to the premiere date being pushed back to midseason, the network finally gave the underperforming show the axe last spring.

But just when viewers thought they were finished with the poorly-named, humorless show, TBS picked it up.  Unfortunately for TBS, viewers and critics have already spoken, and according to them Cougar Town is not “very funny,” which is the stations tagline.

Will Cougar Town be able to do on the cable comedy network what it wasn’t in its primetime spot on ABC’s “comedy wednesday?”  Most likely, no.

Nevertheless, TBS and Cougar Town are giving it a shot.  In a typical Cougar Town fashion, the entire cast created a music video to announce its new home on TBS.  According to the odd performance, Cougar Town will air on Tuesdays starting January 8.  So, the question remains to be answered – will you be tuning in?
